Working on this Window alongside the Health Quality & Safety Commission Te Tāhū Hauora and Nicholson Consulting has been a profound privilege for the Donald Beasley Institute.

The Window underscores a critical reality: the public health system is, more often than not, failing disabled people.

The evidence is clear: disabled people experience consistently poorer health outcomes across almost every metric. We must now take the opportunity to reflect on the findings and commit to building an inclusive, accessible, and rights-based health system that truly improves disabled people's health outcomes - both now and into the future.
