I am a proud Samoan born Tangata Te Tiriti. I immigrated from Samoa to Aotearoa in the early 1990s. I have qualifications in Mental Health and Addiction as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Social Service majoring in Disability with Distinction from the Otago Polytechnic.

As a dedicated Researcher, my primary focus is on the Disabled Person-Led Monitoring of the UNCRPD. I am also involved in other research projects at the DBI, including the HRC project Developing a Twin Track Response to Family and Sexual Violence Against Wāhine Whaikaha, D/deaf and Disabled Women and the Access to Abortion Services project.

I am also an independent contractor working in the Pacific disability space, and I cherish spending quality time with my family, while also enjoying the sereneness that solitude provides. My interest lies in exploring spirituality, psychology and philosophy which grow my understanding and perspective of the world. I am an avid reader, and find solace in nature, often taking walks to rejuvenate my spirit and clear my mind.
