Kia ora, I'm Eden and I am a Researcher at the Donald Beasley Institute. I first joined the team in 2020 as a Monitor on the Disabled Person-Led Monitoring of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and continue to work on the current cycle of this project. I am also involved in other projects including Developing a Te Tiriti Based and Twin-Track Response to Family and Sexual Violence Experienced by Wāhine Whaikaha, D/deaf and Disabled Women.
I have completed a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Psychology in 2020 (Open Polytechnic) and a Master of Arts in Psychology (Massey University) in 2023. My Master’s research explored access to assessment and supports for adults with ADHD/suspected ADHD in Aotearoa and the impacts of late diagnosis.
Outside of work, I have recently become a Mum and aside from doing Mum things, I enjoy playing music, getting outside, working on our house, and being active.
