Kia ora, I’m a Researcher at the Donald Beasley Institute. I joined DBI in 2020, and have worked on various research projects such as the Disabled Person-Led Monitoring on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Access to Abortion project and The Meaning of Family in a Multicultural Context project. I am proud to be part of an amazing team at such an inclusive and accessible organisation.

My academic journey is a testament to my commitment to disability studies. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Management, I pursued a Master's in Disability Studies, focusing on accessible tourism in Iran. This led me to New Zealand, where I completed a PhD in Disability Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. My doctoral research delved into the tension between constraints and negotiation strategies for disabled New Zealanders in travel and tourism.

Outside of work, I enjoy watching mystery and thriller TV series. I also love sports and closely follow sporting events such as the Olympics, Paralympics, and FIFA World Cup.
